In my installation, I’m trying to create a work that speaks both to me and others about my past experiences of living in a rehab. The first phase of my art construction work started on reflecting my experiences in a journal to fully prepare me with all the specific experiences before I recreate those on a paper.

 

The distortion effect is to show the destruction and reconstruction of my ego and personality when I was in the rehab. Constantly being brainwashed by the warden about what is right and what is wrong.

 

Those brainwashing process, in my opinion was very subjective and all those experiences confused me more until I was lost in the sea of value and justification.

 

The final outcome is a series of manipulated drawing on rolled paper attached to transparent roofing that is stacked on top of each other which interprets the twisted state of mind that I experienced during that time of my life.
